SO+GI Scan provides specialised imaging services to women of all ages. Our central location offers women a truly unique experience. You are in safe, compassionate hands as our specialist staff are very experienced and well respected by their peers.
Our specialists provide excellence in the area of female imaging with a focus on obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound procedures. We won’t alarm you unnecessarily as we know what scan findings are important.
Set in tranquil surrounds adjacent to the South Bank parklands in Brisbane, our practice is luxuriously appointed to create a welcoming, yet discreet environment for female patients.
At SO+GI Scan, the difference is in the detail:
- Our specialists actually consult you in most circumstances, unlike most centres
- All SO+GI scans are done in much more detail than other providers
- Our detailed reports are concise, accurate and easy for your doctor to read
- You never leave our practice wondering since results are provided immediately
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment, relax with a herbal tea, decaf or supreme cappuccino and take in the view and relaxed ambience at SO+GI. You may need to fill out some forms including a brief family medical history.
Please bring your doctor’s referral/ request form.
Please bring any previous scans relevant to your current pregnancy or gynaecological examination.
Children under 6 years are not permitted in the scan room. Our medical defence society has advised against this as young babies and children are invariably distracting.
If children over 6 years are to accompany you to the scan, it is essential that you bring another adult to be responsible for your child during your scan and consultation. Their help will prove invaluable to you if they are required to console an upset or bored child and take them to the adjacent park and duck pond.
Please allow an hour and half for your visit to SO+GI.
SO+GI is a practice for female patients only. We ask that gentlemen accompanying their partners do not use the ladies’ toilet in the waiting room or in the examination room. Gentleman, please ask one of our lovely receptionists for a key to the men’s toilet.
Please switch off your mobile phone upon entry to the practice as these can interfere with the medical equipment. Mobile phone calls are definitely not permitted in the SO+GI waiting room or in the examination room.
